I just have to ask this question. I am not happy with the statement credited to Presidet Goodluck Jonathan describing some of our senior citizens as " touts "
I abhor insults on my President . I don't like it .I always feel being pinched whenever I read anybody trying to denigrate the person and office of the President of Nigeria no matter who is in the saddle.
But the President should be above board also in exercising or displaying unparalleled candour whenever and in his response to issues . The President should be mindful of the fact that being the No 1 citizen , he is susceptible to deliberate provocation and planned abuse which is intended to bring the " beast in him" particularly at this point in time when election is imminent
. Dirty words should not be associated with our President who is supposed to rule over what Yoruba people called ori gbigbe or ori tutu .( both sane and insane )

Yes , we cannot but have some people who would have crossed the border line in verbal transgression against the President . They are mere Nigerians as far as today's Nigeria is concerned . They could be ex - this or ex- that but as of today , they are ordinary or glorified personalities not the President of our Nation .
The President is human , yes , but he is our President . He should be the dump site of acidic insult and receiver of unthinkable verbal jabberings .
The Yoruba says "nwon ki gbo ibi lenu abore . ( No matter the situation , the Chief Priest is not supposed to utter vulgar words or reporter of evil )
This is exactly what our President has done .
And God will punish whoever advised him to do this .
It is because of this kind of situation that he has a retinue of aides , I mean media aides ,I wonder what they are doing
The Yoruba says "Tori were ita ni a nfi ni were ile ( it is because of unforeseen circumstances that one keeps a mad dogs in his stead )
And my President has a lot of those supposed to bark and even talk more vulgar words than these .
Is it not a shame that the Head of the house will announce to all that "Inside his compound , some of his elders are useless and mad ?
These are the Senior citizen who he may engaged tomorrow for international assignment
And when the time comes what would be the reaction of thewold
Of course that "he , President Jonathan has sent his touts "
This is totally unrefined and non - Presidential
Where are the Femi Fani Kayodes , the Abatans , Egbon okupe . ?
You people have not done well at all
You have allowed the President to ridicule himself , the nation and the integrity of all Nigerians .
This is unfair !
