The future of luggage is now.
It's possible now to buy suitcases that are bristling with technology.
There are state-of-the-art designs that can, quite literally, do it all. They can tell you their location using GPS, notify you when they've arrived in baggage reclaim, open using fingerprint scanning - and even turn into a scooter.
Here, MailOnline Travel rounds up the most revolutionary suitcases.
The innovative Pluggage bag charges your mobile and also lets its owner know when it's made it on board
First unveiled in January 2015, users can also use the smartphone app to auto-weigh their case
Pluggage
This innovative baggage offering that charges your mobile and also lets its owner know when its made it on board the flight could soon be on the market.
Delsey's new suitcase, called Pluggage, was first showcased in January of this year, which was followed by the company setting up a section of their website for people to vote on their favourite features.
Some of the more interesting features up for discussion are the auto-weight feature, on-board detection, and the instant battery reload.
By synching the case to a smartphone app, the user can be told the exact weight of the luggage.
Currently, the Pluggage is still only a prototype and no details on cost have been released.
Space Case 1
Space Case 1 has already raised almost $400,000 on Kickstarter - and has plenty of impressive features
Designed by the Planet Traveler company, Space Case 1 launched earlier this year on Kickstarter - and has already received $394,428 (£250,458) of its $500,000 (£317,495) goal.
Boasting such revolutionary features as a built-in digital scale, a Bluetooth-enabled duel microphone that allows the user to make phone calls and play music from the suitcase and an anti-theft sensor, which activates an alarm when the owner's phone (and app) is more than 40 feet from the suitcase.
But, perhaps best of all, the smart bag even sends a text to the user's phone when the case has come through to baggage reclaim.
The bag boasts biometric fingerprinting, meaning that up to five travellers can scan and unlock the bag
There's also a built-in digital scale and an option to have a text sent to your phone when the case comes through baggage claim
Another impressive feature is the bag's biometric fingerprinting where up to five travellers can scan their prints to give them the ability to unlock.
And you can even charge your electronic devices with three USB charging ports - along with a massive power bank.
It's priced at around $600 (£381) for the carry-on size and $700 (£445) for the checked bag and the current delivery date is estimated for this November.
Trunkster
Available in both carry-on and check-in sizes, Trunkster prides itself on its sliding, zipperless design

Similar to the Space Case 1, the bag also has USB charging facilities, a built-in scale and a GPS locator.
Currently, the bags are priced at $295 (£187.50) and $335 (about £213) respectively.
Airbus Bag2Go
Developed in association with Airbus, Bag2Go is the first of its kind when it comes to digitally-enabled bags

Using the companion app, you can scan a QR code to see your check-in status and also locate your bag using its GPS tracker function.
First unveiled in 2013 at the Paris Air Show, Bag2Go is a first of its kind digitally-enabled suitcase.
