Despite all the cries and anger against the move by the Minister of Tourism and Culture , Chief Edem Duke to sell the National Theatre and its land , it seems that the land of the National Theatre , Nigeria's cultural monument has finally been sold just two months to the expiration of the tenure of the present government .
The term of agreement of the lease contract was allegedly signed and sealed in a hotel on Thursday last week in Lagos where the Minister of Tourism , Mallam Kabir Yusuf , the General manager , National Theatre , Mr A Lawal and Engineer Nworgu , Head Technical Services were in attendance
