2 cousins die inside well

Tragedy struck at a community in Ohinmini Local Government Area of Benue State early this week when two cousins—Odeh Ogbo and Edoh Christopher—died inside a well.
According to an eyewitness, the incident, which occurred at Ai’Oga community in Oglewu District of the council area, threw the people into mourning.
Saturday Tribune gathered that the duo, whose ages were given to be 20 and 25 years, had attempted to clear the well that serves the community when the incident happened.
An eyewitness said Ogbo had gone down the well but got stuck and died in the process.
After waiting for a while without any sign from his cousin, Christopher was said to have entered the well with the aim of rescuing the first victim when he also got stuck and died.
It was gathered that when he too did not come out, the people became worried.
A member of the family, who spoke with newsmen said that the incident came as a shock to the people. Reacting, the Otukpo Police Area Commander, Mr. Samuel Dra-Koji, confirmed the incident and sympathised with members of the family.
