Sally Mbanefo ,Nigeria's chief tourism promoter preaches regional integration at World Travel Market ,London.
Regional integration has been described as the necessary tool needed by African countries to be able to access fully it tourism dividends in the world market
Mrs Sally Mbanefo , Director General , Nigeria Tourism Development Corporation , NTDC , made this known at the World Travel Market holding at Excel Exhibition Hall , Docklands , London.
Mrs Mbanefo in a meeting with the Ministers of Tourism of Gambia and Malawi, Hon. Miss Fatou M. Njie and Hon. Moses Kunnuyu said that " we need to stoke the embers of West African tourism via the prism of regional integration and cooperation .This is one of the surest way of calling attention and attracting the necessary investment and patronage of our pristine tourism potentialities in Africa "
Mrs Mbanefo who is attending the World Travel Market for the first time described the event as an eye opener " I am glad I am here . This has afforded me the opportunity to observe , learn and meet the international tourism players in a global setting . My interaction and observation in the last 7 hours has revealed a lot and reinforced our determination to promote domestic tourism . "
She commended her predecessors for maintaining credible visibility at WTM and promised not only to sustaining their efforts and improve on it but to make Nigeria proud maximizing the opportunities so well beyond their imaginations.
