Baptism Site “Bethany Beyond the Jordan” (Al-Maghtas), Jordan
Situated along the River Jordan, the site is believed to be where
Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. The site comprises numerous
religious buildings that illustrate the history of Roman and Byzantine
empires.
