The two days event was well attended by many dignitaries and distinguished personalities from all over the world with over 70,000 members of the Oodua Peoples’ Congress who signified their commitment to uplifting of Yoruba culture and also affirmed their loyalty to Otunba Adams was well packaged and organised with a beauty pageant nite where Miss Oodua 2014 emerged. The festival has not only come of age but displayed peace and orderliness as it recorded no case of pilfering, stealing or flagrant misdemeanor as the organisation enforced its anti-social behaviour code, and spiced with exciting traditional dances, spectacular cultural display and enchanting. Apart from the fact that the festival which would have attracted no less than 100,000 visitors to Ile-Ife with its attendant effect on the economy of the ancient city, the 2014 Oodua Festival distinguished itself as one of the most fascinating, eventful and historical so far in the history of Yoruba land in the last few years. The packaging of the event and its success have squarely reconfigured the personality of Otunba Adams as not only a man of peace and rare vision, but also as an enigma who is driving, mobilising and mentoring a agile, mobile, strong and positive minded Yoruba home and abroad ,garnering them for developmental, spiritual and cultural rejuvenation which will not only be of benefit to the race, but to the nation in general. The pattern of 2014 Oodua Festival could be described as mission to unite all the Oduduwa scion home and abroad as every event was stuffed with elements of unity of purpose that conformed to the chores of brotherhood while also lubricating the wheel of communal togetherness. The beauty pageant was conducted by leveraging on issues which extol and celebrate the virtues in Yoruba social-cultural mode of selecting the Arewa, who must not only be a beauty, but a paragon and epitome of Yoruba culture. If the beauty pageant was anchored on inculcating and creating awareness in the youth mostly the ladies, the grand finale which was held at the Ooni Palace Square was not only a fascinating spectacle, but a veritable platform to showcase why the Yoruba are what they are. It was a cultural platform which announced to the world that the unity of purpose and togetherness Yorubaland is not negotiable. The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi though not present, sent a delegation led by High Chief, Bashorun Yusuf Ayoola, while the Ooni was not only on his royal seat but acknowledged and commended the presence of Alaafin at the event. The Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola who was billed for a commissioning in Ilesa was represented by Mr Oladipo Soyode, Special Adviser on Tourism who arrived the venue promptly and witnessed the festival to its close. The Director General, Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, (NTDC), Mrs Sally Mbanefo who was the Special Guest of Honour showcased to the world that her passion for domestic tourism is beyond rhetoric and newspapers mongering as she heaped on herself generational blessings and prayers from not only the Ooni of Ife but by all the participants at the festival who marveled at her humility and sense of cultural appreciation despite being an Ibo woman. Adding value to this year’s festival were the members of Oodua Progressive Union in Diaspora who sent a powerful delegates led by Akogun Banji Ojo, Coordinator, Holland to show solidarity, support and represent them at the Yoruba cultural communal revival held in Ile-Ife, the source. Showcasing that the Oodua Festival is beyond cultural jamboree but a unified platform for all Yoruba irrespective of sex, class, religion or social or political affiliations was the observance of the opening prayers which were offered by clerics and practitioners from three major religions - Christianity, Islam and Traditional Religion. Otunba Adams, in his speech confirmed that Oodua Festival was inaugurated majorly to serve as a platform for the unity of all Yoruba home and in Diaspora. “The vision to embark on the celebration of Oodua Festival as handed to me by the ancestors was to rejuvenate our cultural festivals and values using it as a platform for interaction by all Yoruba home and abroad at the first month of every year. This is the reason why Oodua Festival has been the first event of the Olokun Foundation.” Otunba Adams said that “ It is an ancestry call to duty which the owners of Yorubaland have bestowed on me. It is enormous, but I thank the creator of heaven and earth, the luminous order who parted the sea for the Israelites to walk through, the owners of Ife oyee, Oodua Atenwonro and the gods and spirits which are servants of the Lord almighty for ensuring the success of each and every celebration.” He pointed out that “Oodua Festival is dedicated to celebrate the progenitor of Yoruba race, the great Oduduwa Atenwonro who was a paragon of peace, order, harmony, love, brotherliness, development and an epitome of growth.” Otunba Adams called on all Yoruba home and abroad to eschew bitterness, shun acrimony and spread love and brotherhood as espoused by Oduduwa. “I am using this forum to appeal to all Yoruba home and abroad to live in peace, embrace each other, oil the chord of brotherhood , exude love and continue to exhibit that trait of Omoluabi which distinguishes and stand out a Yoruba man from the crowd anywhere and at any time.” He commended the Ooni of Ife for tending the stead of “our forefathers with grace, honour and unrivalled dignity while praising the Alaafin of Oyo for hoisting high the cultural heritage of Yoruba land without blemish.” Otunba Adams commended the Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Aregbesola for his strides at enhancing the cultural and tourism assets in Osun urging him to do more while tasking the Director-General, NTDC to “as matter of urgency put machinery in place to tap into the various tourism sites in Ile-Ife.” The representative of the governor, Mr Soyode lauded the efforts of Otunba Adams which he described “a salvage mission entrusted on him to rescue Yoruba culture from slipping into the abyss of forgetfulness.” He affirmed the commitment of Governor Aregbesola at seeing that all indigenes and citizens of Osun State express their socio and religious feelings without fear and bias. The Director–General, NTDC, Mrs Mbanefo who was excited by the various display of dances and cultural stunts by different groups extolled the historical and cultural greatness of Ife and promised her corporation’s readiness at partnering with OPC in its drive to promote domestic tourism and enhance the culture of Yorubaland. “NTDC is to drive domestic tourism. OPC through its calendar of events seems to be the only organised organisation in Nigeria with such an exciting and colorful cultural calendar which hosts events from January to December.This is commendable. Dana Flies again !

Photo: Dana Flies again ! Yes , Dana air crashed and many lives were lost . It was a fatal crashed . A monumental tragedy and colossal at that . No man who is out of a woman would be happy that such a reputable and well organised Airline went down with a lot of budding stars . It was a a calamity too heavy to bear . And the company paid for it greatly and fatally too . Not only was the company grounded for almost 7 months but it had to pay the necessary dues expected . But it seems that there was a gang up against the re - entry of Dana Air into the business of flying passengers in Nigeria . For when the suspension was lifted early 2013 , there arose a heavy opposition orchestrated by possibly those in the same business arguing that " since it had crashed it should not fly again" This page rose stoutly in support of Dana placing its argument that for the fact that a bus out of a fleet of buses of a transport company had an accident should not stop others in the fleet from operation neither should that lead to the permanent closing down of the company . Dana flew for some weeks . And another round of suspension came forth With no major reason ! No airlines is immuned to crash The prayer is that God prevent any airlines from crashing . Not for airlines to rejoice and exploit the unfortunate incident of the other. Dana is one of the best three airlines in Nigeria . Dana employed many Nigerians who have to cater for others . Dana contributes to economy of Nigeria Dana planes are neat . Dana's has good crew on board which understand the act of customers relations Dana is good . Dana is back I love Dana Welcome back , the airline of my choice ! Fly Dana ! Fly Good !! Fly safely !!! Safe landing !!!!!!!!Dana Flies again !

Photo: Dana Flies again ! Yes , Dana air crashed and many lives were lost . It was a fatal crashed . A monumental tragedy and colossal at that . No man who is out of a woman would be happy that such a reputable and well organised Airline went down with a lot of budding stars . It was a a calamity too heavy to bear . And the company paid for it greatly and fatally too . Not only was the company grounded for almost 7 months but it had to pay the necessary dues expected . But it seems that there was a gang up against the re - entry of Dana Air into the business of flying passengers in Nigeria . For when the suspension was lifted early 2013 , there arose a heavy opposition orchestrated by possibly those in the same business arguing that " since it had crashed it should not fly again" This page rose stoutly in support of Dana placing its argument that for the fact that a bus out of a fleet of buses of a transport company had an accident should not stop others in the fleet from operation neither should that lead to the permanent closing down of the company . Dana flew for some weeks . And another round of suspension came forth With no major reason ! No airlines is immuned to crash The prayer is that God prevent any airlines from crashing . The grandmother on the right is 110 years old with all features working perfectly excepting a rheumatic troubled left limp , the next is her daughter who begotten the man  Wale Ojo - Lanre ,Associate Editor , Nigerian Tribune ,who se daughter Bukky begotten his  grandson who was delivered on January 1 2014 at 12: 45 am in Nigerai .

God will judge Governor Aregbesola

Photo: God will judge Governor Aregbesola Yes , only the almighty God , the one who ordains and removes , the one who causes a thing to be , the one who pays the evil doer , the one who allocates punishment and reward will one day pay Governor Aregbesola as he wastes state of Osun fund frivolously on a bizzare and shameful policy . I know a lot of goons who claim to be Governor Aregbesola's fan will start to rain curses on me for my gut to speak the truth , the whole truth , nothing but the truth which impinges on the credibility of their man . But for me , I don't give a damn shit as nobody can cover my mouth or gag me not even with millions of naira . I am not saying I don't need the naira of course I will collect loads of it if that will not lead me to nepotism and sentimental posturings . At least , i must be able to leave behind properties which I may not need now not only for my children or the new grand child but I must also acquired properties for the grand son of my newly born grand son like the crazy politicians and civil servants do . I don't even care if the loads of money are pinched off from the fund meant for public works . Why should I worry ? i should not care if the masses suffer while my family and my unborn children and great , great grandchildren who are still in the bowel are already swimming in wealth while the people who are alive now are swimming in abject wretchedness and debilitating squalor . So if the Aregbesolas' bombers deployed all their arsenal of war and propaganda on me will not force my mouth from exposing how their hero waste the State of Osun money . As I am looking for loads of illgotten money to acquire properties for my unborn children , Governor Aregbesola is being shown on the OSBC TV a few minutes ago distributing money to those who should be in their graves coolng off ! why should Governor Aregbesola decided to spent part of the money of State of Osun on old people , the elders , the aged who had contributed immensely to the state growth ? Why can't he locate some us who are looking for money to feed our concubines and women of easy virtues to give spurious and useless contract and get the money than having a passion for those who are not supposed to stay alive . who told him that it is just and proper to cater for those aged , ,powerless and boneless set of people who have used their energy while still strong for the development of the country at their old age? Instead of him to bring out policy that will stifle the aged out of existence , this Governor is striving hard at ensuring that these aged and old people enjoy good life not only at old age but until their death ! This is totally unacceptable, frivolous and a total rubbish Old people should be left to die in misery , shame , poverty and wretchedness but this bearded Alfa has come with a bizzare policy that is making life so good and meaningful for the aged in their last years on life ! Why God must punish Governor Ajimobi !

Photo: Why God must punish Governor Ajimobi ! Of course , if there is anybody who God should destroy with the fiercest fury , it is this Governor called Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo - State . Since he took over power from Bra Bayo , I have not given him any recognition just because I hate his sense of reasoning. I don't know what is wrong with him and can never tell why he his happy inflicting pains in our marrows. Yes , Governor Ajimobi is evil and devilish . He is a Governor who has no milk of human kindness in him but smiles as if he is an affectionate and good fellow . He is a misanthropist par excellence . Since this handsome for nothing ma has come into power , he has been using his power in persecuting those of us who he perceives to be his enemies . This wicked husband of Anty Florence has continued to make life unbearable for us in Oyo State while some of the people are hailing him shouting " well done the good husband of Florence " Whereas he is exterminating and uprooting us from the face of Oyo State . This hard heated Governor is carrying his offering beyond the limit of tolerance . And we cannot take it any longer but why should he be doing all these ? is it because he hate us so uch and love the other groups ? Why ? people of Oyo - state Governor Ajimobi has stepped on the tail of the viper and we are not only calling God to punish him but we also will be active to deal with him ourselves . This pepsodent's smiling devil has wrong us dearly and dearly we want God to punish and dealt with him appropriately . And I asure God will curse him and his family . Imagine , this good - for - nothing Governor drove us away from under the Iwo bridge where we used to perpetrate and implement our acts unhindered . When he made the place so hot and uncomfortable for us , we shifted to Molete onder the b ridge Do you know that this Governor flushed us out of Molete bridge as if we are not human . If you go to Molete now ,I mean under the bidge , this yeye Governor has cleaned the place up and turned it to an attraction banishing us from reigning as we used to do . When we tried to hibernate under the toll gate bridge before we got there . In fact , God will not bless Ajimobi for reclaiming the Scout Camp- Our last refuge where we used to smoke igbo ,rape women and do despicable acts just because it has a big forest which shielded us from the eyes of the public . Do you know that this Governor has not only took over the Scout Camp but has built a wonderful neighbourhood market for the people and you want me to pray for him . Prayer my foot !
