Are South West Governors sleeping ?

Where are the South West Governors ?
The governors of the South South and Northern state are busy offering scholarships and sponsoring their citizen in various choice disciplines within and  outside this country .
But in the South West because it is termed educationally advantaged , it seems that the Governors of these states have been complacent .
This is a serious malaise
I hope a once educationally advantaged zone will not become educationally disadvantaged soon
South West Governors , wake up
This is healthy competition .
Wake up !
Where are the South West Governors ?

Otunba Gani Adams presenting an Award to Mayor of Famagusta ,Cyprus
The vision of Otunba Gani Adams which propelled him to convene and embark on inaugurating  the Oodua Progressive Union, OPU, as an  association  concerned with the revitalisation, resuscitation, promotion , veneration  and enhancing the pristine socio –cultural –tourism heritage of the Yoruba race among the Diaspora has  started yielding good fruit not for the  association   but  Nigeria in particular .
This scenario played itself out on Wednesday 3 February, 2015 when  Otunba Adams led a delegation of members of OPU in paying a courtesy visit to the   Mayor of Famagusta Mr Ismail Arter, in North Cyprus in his office.
Otunba Adams who was in North Cyprus with a delegate of members of OPU which include Zaki of Arigidi-Akoko, Oba Yisa Olanipekun, The Olu of Igbore, HRM Oba Adeogun Ogunbona, Chief Executive officer, Intl. School of Aviation,  Captain Olatokunboh Adesina, Prince Segun Akanni  to inaugurate the first student wing of OPU in Eastern Mediterranean University, North Cyprus
Otunba Adams and his entourage who  were heralded to the office of the Mayor with warm  and enthusiastic reception commended Mr Arter for opening his door  wide to receive the Nigerian delegation to his office and territory
“I must confess that I am highly impressed by the reception showered on us in your office right from the gate by your officials who welcomed us with enthusiasm and warmth “
Otunba Adams disclosed that ‘We felt that it will be inappropriate for us to visit this lovely Island of bliss, inaugurate Oodua Progressive Union without paying a courtesy visit to  the Mayor,  particularly to one mayor who has been described as a lover of Nigerian students in North Cyprus.”
He pointed out that “It will also be a sign of ingratitude for me as a Yoruba man and promoter of the culture to visit this country , launch OPU for the students here and refuse to visit a Mayor who is not only in love with Nigeria as a country , in love with Nigerian students here but has gone a step further  by inaugurating a scholarship scheme for the Nigerian students.”
Otunba Adams  pointed out that “We are in this country to inaugurate a student’s wing of OPU in Cyprus , the first ever , The essence is to promote and sustain the cultural values and norms of the Yoruba race among our students who study abroad. It is a known fact that a culture die fast or rather goes into extinction  as fast as possible if the young people are not in tune with its tenets , hence we found it necessary and urgent to save our culture from being pushed into the sea of forgetfulness.”
Otunba Adams who revealed that “The Yoruba culture is one of the best in the world with clear and distinct values description which norms and mores  regulate the behavioural pattern of the race, ensure conformity with societal rules and regulation and strive to produce  responsible citizenry for a better community relationship . “
He called the attention of the Mayor to two specific areas where Cyprus and Nigeria could reap and engage in  mutually beneficial enterprise and relationship
“I have noticed that North Cyprus is a heaven of tourism and agriculture.  There are a lot of engagements which the two countries can gain from if these two sectors are looked into and it will go a long way to  fasten  the relationship between Nigeria and Cyprus’
In his response , Mr Arter lauded Otunba Adams for his activities so far as a leader of Oodua People’s Congress, OPC  and Oodua Progressive Union.
“We are most pleased to welcome you and your delegate to our Municipality, Otunba Gani Adams,  the National coordinator  Oodua People’s Congress and convener Oodua Progressive Union. We are happy to inform you that we are very close with Nigerian students here and we see them as an integral part of the municipality.”
Mr Arter commended Otunba Adams for being  the first Nigerian to visit him in office with a powerful delegate discussing area of  cooperation and engagement.
“I must tell you that I highly appreciate your visit to my office and I must let you know that you and your entourage are the first set of Nigerian delegate I am receiving in this country since I assumed office and to thank you for your observation on areas of cooperation between Nigeria and Cyprus. It gladdens my heart that you are talking of agriculture which we have the expertise  and technical knowhow and tourism which is one of the revenue bases of the country .  ”
Mr Arter said  ”Otunba Adams your coming to Cyprus and visit  to my office has  opened a new vista in our relationship with Nigerians and Nigeria.  It has again rekindled our interest and passion  about Nigeria . We appreciate your efforts and commend your altruistic cultural – tourism promotion of your race and your   strides to add value to the image of your country. Although Nigerian students have cut short the long distance between Nigeria and Cyprus,  but your step and acts   now have expanded the border of this relationship which we are not only going to improve upon but enhance “
He assured the Yoruba delegates that “It is my love for Nigerian students because of their sense of responsibility that I inaugurated a shorlarhip scheme which you made reference to and which will be executed promptly now that you have intervened. Otunba Adams , it is my duty to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all Nigerians in this country”
Mr Arter revealed that his municipality was ready  to share knowledge, expertise and  technical knowhow with any Nigerian or state governments wishing to relate with Cyprus on tourism and agriculture.”
“I  am glad at this visit, I am happy to meet the two traditional rulers from Ondo and Ogun states. I am also happy meeting a Nigerian who has aviation school in many countries. There are a lot for Nigerians to explore here and we are ready to assist and facilitate investment opportunities in a symbiotic situation relationship. I am hoping to see you again.”
Otunba Adams presented a copy of his  biography and written documents on vision of OPU and its activities to Mr Arter  and  also   formally introduced  the Eastern Mediterranean University EMU, OPU Coordinator, Mr Segun George whose executive council was inaugurated the previous day to   who the Mayor  confessed “Segun is a good ambassador of Nigeria in Cyprus. He  is a responsible student”
Meanwhile, Otunba Adams  has cautioned the Yoruba in EMU  North Cyprus to see themselves as the light of the race.
Otunba Adams made this  call in his speech titled “You are the light of Nigeria ‘  at the inauguration  of the OPU Eastern Mediterranean University. North Cyprus which was held at Tourism Hall, on Tuesday 3 February, 2015.
He captured the essence of the inauguration “My theme for this short address is “You are the light of Yoruba Race “With this theme, I will borrow a verse from the Holy Bible where Jesus Christ charged the Apostles saying “You are the light of the world. A city set on hill cannot be hidden. Let your light shine among the world so that they can glorify your father in heaven.”
He posited “ We decided to congregate here and inaugurate this chapter not only because we have a bunch of Yoruba students who are eager to be part of the Yoruba cultural revolution and Risorgimento but largely due to the testimony of your behaviour, good character, exhibition of positive values  and conduct made by  Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Ahmet Sözen and Vice Rector for Promotion Professor Hasan Amca, when a delegate headed by the Zaki of Arigidi visited this campus  in December 2014.
“Had it been the report was negative, we  would  not  have been  here, but just because you have allowed the virtues   of  Oduduwa,  the champion of good conduct to shine and  radiate in you, we have  no option  than to make a second journey within a space of 60 days to seal this testimony of you all  being  worthy ambassadors of Yoruba race and Nigeria as a country in a foreign land.”
Otunba Adams revealed “Let it be known that this is the first time that OPU is being inaugurated on a university campus anywhere in the world. It is thus tasking the moral sensibility and sense of reasonability of the members to always live above board, show advanced mutually attestable behavioural pattern worth of emulation and blaze forth in academic pursuit.  You have thus set an enviable   precedent in the history of  OPU which you must build upon , intensify on and strive always not to fall below the benchmark of these pristine values which won for you the rare recognition as members of a noble race among all other races on this campus.”
He pointed out to the students  “Your inauguration today has heaped upon you the enormous task of self examination, self respect, self caution because you are no longer individuals from different homes, but a crop of light bearers of the most respected and noble Yoruba race who are automatic ambassadors of Nigeria our beloved country.”
Otunba while showing gratitude to the authority and Management of Eastern Mediterranean University, said “not only for providing this wonderful, lovely and academically conducive five star hotel environment for learning,  but for its magnanimity and show of understanding of cultural diversity and utilising same to forge international cooperation, intercontinental networking and   minting  of  a rare  crop of global students who have gone  through the furnace of academic, intercontinental relations and socio- cultural virtues.”
He charged  the new members of OPU to “stand up, sharpen your intellectual plate, wake up your cultural intuition, refresh your moral value, reeve your patriotic passion, tune up your behavioural pattern, exhibit to the world that you  are the  true sons and daughters of Oduduwa  and tell them that through your virtues that we are from a race with enviable and memorable  past, wonderful present and glorious future.”
In his speech, the coordinator, OPU,  EMU, Mr Segun Okoya George assured “Our chapter will not only be the shining light for others, but we shall earnestly strive to make Otunba Adams, all OPU members and Yoruba race proud and add value of purpose and credibility to Nigeria”
Getting best of the inauguration,  Otunba Adams led the Nigerian delegates and OPU members from  Sweden led by the coordinator,  Victor Mobolaji Adewale, and two others Sikiru Erinfolami and Abass Owade to  a meeting  with the management of EMU led by  Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Sözen and Vice Rector for Promotion Prof. Amca  where the management agreed to support OPU and assist the association in specific interest which will lubricate the aims and objectives of the association.

This Minister wants Jonathan to fail !

Edem Duke is one of the minister who have contributed immensely to the bad image of president Goodluck Jonathan .
He is one of the reasons why substantial members and pratitioner of tourism sector in Nigeria will not vote for Jonathan
and surprisingly , President Jonathan has continued to dine , winw and prote this poor performing minister of Culture , tourism and National Orientation .
This is one of the Ministers who helped to brand jonathan's government as not cluless but corrupt
This is a Minister for Tourism whose hotel , Mirage Hotel , calabar was found guilty of evading taxes for five years including two years as a minister !
And mirage Hotel was one of his accomplishments which he branded before the Senate when he was being scrutinized for the appointment .
Two years after he was made a minister , the Federal Inland Revenue service , FIRS , found out that our Minister for Tourism hotel's evaded tax for five years ,shut the hotel and forced the management to pay

N210M TAX EVASION: FIRS SET TO SHUT EDEM DUKE’S HOTEL

N210M TAX EVASION: FIRS SET TO SHUT EDEM DUKE’S HOTEL

For evading payment of tax for several years which has now accumulated to over N210 Million,
Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) will shut down The Mirage and Franphina Ltd hotels belonging to Chief Edem Duke, Minister of Culture and Tourism,  and a governorship aspirant, Chief Francis Bullem respectively.

FIRS Tax controller in Calabar, Mr. Bitrus Dauda Dikko said both hotels have up to Monday next week to defray, at least, half of the accumulated assessment.
He made the threat when FIRS raided many debtor firms in Calabar to enforce tax payment.

"We have orders from our headquarters Abuja to seal up defaulting firms in the state if after three reminders they still fail to pay. Many of these firms have evaded tax since 2006.

"Few years ago, we had to shut down The Mirage and was only opened when the owner pleaded with an insignificant amount", Dikko said.

Lawyers to The Mirage, Nelson Williams Anwan and Co pleaded that the hotel will not be able to defray the amount but would remit another one hundred thousand Naira, (N100,000.00) having paid One Million Naira last year when they were sealed up.

They requested FIRS to be patient, as Chief Duke has sent assurances to defray substantial part of the old assessment.

Lawyers to a governorship aspirant in the state, Chief Francis Bullem, owner of Franphina Ltd, also appealed against being shut down since they have shown commitment to their earlier undertaking to pay instalmentally.

Other hotels raided were Freddys, Orange Resorts Ltd and Hottschop Events Centre.

Dikko stated that the federal government has instructed FIRS to step up tax enforcement in order not to allow the shortfall in oil revenue to terribly impact against the nation's economy.

As a result, Dikko maintained that tax enforcement will now be done every month in order to keep firms on their toes on the need to pay tax as at when due.

"We don't want to give firms that continually evade taxes in Cross River State and other parts of the country any breathing space as we are on our toes to cover up the gap created by the fall in oil prices."

President Jonathan’s Minister, Edem Duke’s Hotel Biz In Crisis …How He Harbours Family Illegally In The UK

High Chief Edem Duke, Minister in Charge of Culture, Tourism and Hospitality
High Chief Edem Duke, Minister in Charge of Culture, Tourism and Hospitality
Information reliably gathered has it that workers of Mirrage Hotel Calabar owned by current Minister of Culture and Tourism, High Chief Edem Duke embarks on indefinite strike due to none payment of close to a year salary.
Birthed on the eve of Nigerian 99, FIFA U20 World Cup, Mirrage hotel has been harbinger of modern day hospitable hotels in Calabar but torn in the flesh to its teeming workers. It was gathered that the five star hotel has been suffering series of monumental seizures in her 15yrs of existence. Despite high patronage that the hotel enjoys, the management has refused to pay the workers for several months and this has resulted in peaceful demonstration by staffs to express their grievances to both its management and the owner, High Chief Edem Duke.
Findings revealed that the demonstration is not first of its kind as several has been organized but always fell on the deaf ears of the serving Minister in the Executive Council of President Goodluck Jonathan.
In another development, the Minister, High Chief Edem Duke, who is the Minister in Charge of Culture, Tourism and Hospitality has been found to be hiding his family illegally in the United Kingdom for the past two years without rectifying the illegality.
Reliable sources revealed that he moved his family, consisting of his wife, Helen, and three kids to Britain in 2010 under the pretence of seeking medical attention for his last child who was bedevilled by a strange disease
Investigation revealed that the United Kingdom Border Control issued a six-month medical visa for Helen Duke in 2010 for the duration and convalescent period of the child.
After the expiration of the six months, Mrs. Duke renewed her visa with fictitious medical documents from Nigeria which called the attention of the UK Border Control and Immigration to the fact that the child needed to frequent London Hospital for regular check up and also needed to frequent India.
The two years visa and permission to visit the UK without engaging in any job was granted to Mrs Duke who immediately rented an apartment on Oakridge, brought the other two children under the pretence of visiting and fixed herself up in the illegal jobs.
Since the expiration of the two-year visa, Mrs Helen Edem has been staying and working illegally in the UK with his husband paying regular visit as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria not minding the fact that his wife’s circumstance could mar the image of Nigeria and the President of the country.
A family source revealed that High Chief Edem Duke was said to have tried to use his position as the a Minister of the Federal Government in ensuring the legalisation of Helen Duke to achieve permanent stay in the UK but his efforts were thwarted because of the case file at the Immigration and UK Border Control, which indicated that “one Helen Duke was once intercepted, interrogated and delayed for hours at Heathrow for suspicious shuttling between Nigeria and the UK.”
Mrs Duke who was let off by the UK border control after a harrowing grilling has holed up in the UK without valid papers and has been conducting her business as if she had all the permission to stay as free citizen.
Efforts to reach the minister for his reactions proved abortive as all his mobile lines were not reachable
But President Jonathan believed it was a good deed
Also , the same Minister conspired with the DG National Theatre and sold the Historical complex for peanuts .
He cleverly and cheaply bribed the first Lady by decorating him as Tourism Ambassador without madam doing anything to promote Tourism in Nigeria .
The nation was shocked when President Jonathan picked this Minister to be the  coordinating Minister for Information after the resignation of Labran Maku  !
Since his appointment this man has done nothing spectacular
We are in the time of need when a competent minister of Information and Orientation should be visible but Edem Duke is not there for Jonathan .

What I saw in a ghost city called Varosha by Wale ojo lanre

What I saw in Varosha: A city frozen in time

I lost everything after the Turks invaded: my home, my factory, my orange groves,” said Harris Demetriou, 71, a Greek Cypriot whose family fled their handsome villa and left behind an ice cream business in Varosha. “I try not to dwell on the past or my misery. I have given up.” Mr. Demetriou has since rebuilt his life in a suburb near Nicosia, the Cypriot capital.
It’s a long stretch of sad stories of those who fled the once prosperous city of Varosha. It was in 1974 when Turkey, in response to a Greek-inspired coup attempt in Cyprus, invaded the town. The news of the invasion created fear in the hearts of the residents who abandoned their homes, means of livelihood and possessions, fleeing in 1974 and still to return. The invasion saw to the division of the city into a Greek Cypriot south and a Turkish-occupied north. Today, heavy security details guard Varosha, enclosing it with barbed wire with nature taking total possession of the entire space.
The beaches still spread in their pristine magnificiency and the hotels in their antique grandeur once drew the high and mighty across the globe to the splendour of its fanfare. Quiet, eerie, Varosha is an eloquent testimony of the irrationality of conflict. Okan Dagli, a Turkish Cypriot from Famagusta who saw the area when he served in the army, said it felt like a dystopia.
“Everything was looted and crumbling,” Mr. Dagli said. “It was as if time had stopped. It was both very sad and very disturbing.”
“It makes me feel ashamed and angry,” said Selma Caner, 28, a Turkish Cypriot philosophy teacher, sunbathing on the beach next to the barbed-wire fence blocking off Varosha. “It’s a bit creepy coming here. But after a while, abnormality becomes normal.”
Mr. Demetriou, the former Greek Cypriot resident of Varosha, said he dreamed of reopening an ice cream business in Cyprus in the late 1970s. But with his house and factory here looted and occupied by the Turks, Cypriot banks refused to grant him a loan, he said, because he had no collateral. He and his wife lived off her modest teacher’s salary.
In the 1970s, Famagusta was the number one tourist destination in Cyprus. To cater for the increasing number of tourists, many new high-rise buildings and hotels were constructed. During its heyday, Varosha was not only the number one tourist destination in Cyprus, but between 1970 and 1974, it was one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, and was a favourite destination of celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Raquel Welch, and Brigitte Bardot.
The main features of Varosha included John F. Kennedy Avenue, a street that ran from close to the port of Famagusta, through Varosha and parallel to Glossa beach. Along JFK Avenue, there were many well known high rise hotels including the King George Hotel, The Asterias Hotel, The Grecian Hotel, The Florida Hotel, and The Argo Hotel which was the favourite hotel of Elizabeth Taylor.

The Argo Hotel is located near the end of JFK Avenue, looking towards Protaras and Fig Tree Bay. Another major street in Varosha was Leonidas, a major street that came off JFK Avenue and headed west towards Vienna Corner. Leonidas was a major shopping and leisure street in Varosha, consisting of bars, restaurants, nightclubs, and a Toyota car dealership.
1974 till date
Following the Turkish invasion of Cyprus on 20 July 1974, the Greek Cypriot army withdrew its forces to Larnaca. The Turkish army advanced as far as the Green Line, which is the present day border between the two communities. Just hours before the Turkish and Greek Cypriot armies met in military combat on the streets of Famagusta, the entire population fled, fearing a massacre. Many refugees fled south to Paralimni, Dherynia, and Larnaca. Paralimni has since become the modern day capital of the Famagusta province.
When the Turkish Army gained control of the area during the invasion, they fenced it off and have since barred admittance to anyone except Turkish military and United Nations personnel. The people living in Varosha hoped to return to their home when the situation calmed down, but the resort was fenced off by the Turkish military.
The UN Security Council Resolution 550 of 1984 ordered for Varosha to be handed over to the administration of the United Nations, and was to be resettled by no other people than the inhabitants who were forced out. The Turkish State did not comply, but has held Varosha as a bargaining chip in the hope of persuading the people of Cyprus into accepting a settlement of the Cyprus issue on their terms.
One such settlement plan was the Annan Plan, which the vast majority of Greek Cypriots rejected as unfair. It provided for the return of Varosha to the original residents, but this never happened because the plan was rejected by Greek Cypriot voters in a referendum, as the overall plan was considered unacceptable.
The UN Security Council Resolution 550 states that it “considers attempts to settle any part of Varosha by people other than its inhabitants as inadmissible and calls for the transfer of this area to the administration of the United Nations”. Since 1974, entry to the district is forbidden by Turkey with the exception of the TSK personnel and the students of the girls’ dormitory there.
The European Court of Human Rights awarded between €100,000 and €8,000,000 to eight Greek Cypriots for being deprived of their homes and properties as a result of the 1974 invasion. The case was filed jointly by businessman Constantinos Lordos and others, with the principal judgement in the Lordos case dating back to November 2010. The court ruled that, in the case of eight of the applicants, Turkey had violated Article 1 of Protocol 1 of the European Convention on Human rights on the right of peaceful enjoyment of one’s possessions, and in the case of seven of the applicants, Turkey had violated Article 8 on the right to respect for private and family life.
As nobody has inhabited the area and no repairs have been carried out, all of the buildings continue to fall apart. Nature is reclaiming the area, as metal corrodes, windows break, and plants work their roots into the walls and pavement.
But not all Turkish Cypriots want to give Varosha back. After the 1974 invasion, an estimated 150,000 Turkish settlers arrived in the north of Cyprus, many of them poor and agrarian Turks from the mainland, who Greek Cypriots say are illegal immigrants used by Turkey as a demographic weapon.
Satilmis Sisli, a nurse from Izmir, in the west coast of Turkey, lives in Famagusta, across the street from a tall barbed wire fence sealing off Varosha’s crumbling Greek Orthodox Churches and mangled homes. He has lived 33 years in the former home of a Greek Cypriot, which he has adorned with lemon trees. He has no intention of leaving.
“I am a Turk, so I don’t know if things would be better if we were reunited — most people think it would be worse,” Mr. Sisli said, standing in his fragrant garden. “Greek Cypriots won’t come back as long as Turks rule here, and if they come back, we will lose everything.”
“Anyone who comes from Varosha has a romanticised notion of it,” says Vasia Markides, 34, an American Greek-Cypriot whose mother grew up there. “They talk about it being the hub of art and intellectual activity. They describe it as the French Riviera of Cyprus.”
The whole city is crying for occupants. Obviously so.

Pastor Ighodalo escapes death !

An attempt by two domestic staff to poison Pastor Itua Ighodalo of Trinity House, a mega church in Victoria Island, Lagos, western Nigeria, has been foiled.
The  two workers allegedly connived with a herbalist to hatch the plot to enable them kidnap the pastor’s wife, Ibidunni, and demand for a ransom of N80 million.
•Pastor Ighodalo and wifeBut the plot was foiled by the couple before they could actualise it. The police have arrested the two domestic staff and the herbalist and charged them to court for attempted murder.
Police identified the suspects as Abdulkareem Mohammed, 24, the alleged mastermind of the plot, employed by the couple as a dog handler, Makinde Ewuosi, 36, a native doctor who resides at 21, Joseph Street, Lagos Island and has his shrine at 9, Alofun Street, Lagos Island, and Paul Eke, 29, a security guard at Osborne Foreshore Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos where the couple resides.
•Pastor Ighodalo and wife
Police investigation revealed that nemesis caught up with the suspects when the couple’s pet dog named Simba suddenly died from food poisoning at their residence at Ikoyi, Lagos.
Suspecting a foul play, the couple contacted their dog’s doctor to conduct an examination on it to know the cause of its death and the doctor’s report revealed that the dog died from food poisoning.
The couple reported the incident to the police and the dog handler was arrested and taken to the station for interogation.
During interogation, according to the police, the dog handler (Mohammed) from Borno State, allegedly confessed that he mixed poisonous substances given to him by a herbalist with food for the dog to eat and after the dog ate the food it died.
In his alleged confession to the police, Mohammed further said: “The security man in our estate, Eze, brought the information that if we poison my boss to death, kidnap his wife and demand for N80 million ransom we would be rich overnight. And to actualise our mission, I went to consult a native doctor, Ewuosi for help.
“And after explaining my mission to the native doctor, he gave me poisonous black powder, black soap and sponge with a directive that I must use the powder to poison my master’s dog to know the effectiveness of the poison and if it vomits and dies, I should use it to poison anybody.
“After the dog died, we were still planning how to use the poison on my boss and kidnap his wife for ransom before I was arrested. But I don’t know how the devil used me to plan such evil against my employers because they were taking good care of me. I pray to God to forgive me.”
Following his alleged confession, Mohammed led the police to arrest the herbalist and the security guard.
Ewuosi, the herbalist, allegedly confessed that he prepared some concoctions for the dog handler but not to kill anybody.
After investigation, the suspects were charged before a Tinubu Magistrates’ court on a two-count charge of attempted murder of Pastor Itua Ighodalo and his wife, Ibidunni.
The offences, the police prosecutor, Supol Chidi Okoye said, are punishable under sections 409 and 228(1)(2) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused persons, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge in the open court, and Chief Magistrate Miss A.O. Awogboro admitted them on bail in the sum of N500,000 each with two surties each in like.
Awogboro directed the prosecutor to send the case file to the DPP’s office for advice and adjourned the case till 18 March, 2015 for mention.
The defendants were, however, taken to Ikoyi Prison, Lagos, pending when they will fulfil their bail conditions.

The Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has told the international community to rezone the nation, in order to allow everyone conduct their own elections in peace.
The Assistant National Information Director, Mr Sunny Okereafor, revealed this when he spoke to Daily Sun in Umuahia.

We are a non-violent organization and we are introducing non-violence in all the struggles for self-actualization in the whole of Africa.
“If you remember when President Goodluck Jonathan was making his broadcast in January, he said that a new nation has been born, the nation he was referring to is Biafra. Biafra is around, this is our identity, I am urging all Igbo to go and look for it. It is available in the whole Biafra region,” Okereafor said.

He praised Chief Ralph Uwazurike, for bringing forth the self-actualization struggle, stating that non-violence is their fruit.
“That is why we are preaching non-violence where ever we go, we are a non-violent organization. We have everything to move as a nation. So, all the ethnic groups should go and conduct elections for themselves,” the information boss said.
