Crown gets Oyo govt 10 million naira reward


For picking a promotion ticket back to the elite league, the Oyo state government has doled out a sum of 10 million naira to Crown FC of
Ogbomoso
 
This was disclosed by former member of the House of Representative, Honourable Abdufatai Buhari, who said governor Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi who had promised to reward the club if it eventually gains promotion,
has instantly ordered that the money be given to the team. Buhari, a  former  chairman of the club, praised the management of the club led by Alhaji Noah Bello, the technical crew, players and the supporters for their doggedness which enabled the club realized its promotion dream.
 
Speaking after Crown beat already relegated Fountain FC of Ado Ekiti, Buhari assured of the readiness of the financier of the club to back up in its campaign in the topflight next season.
 
He also promised that rehabilitation of the Soun Stadium, the home ground of the team will commence immediately, stressing that efforts will be made to ensure that the stadium meets up with the required standard.
