NCPC TO INTRODUCE AGRICULTURAL CONTENT IN CHRISTIAN PILGRIMAGE


          The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC),
Mr John kennedy Opara has said that the Commission plans to introduce visit to Agricultural sites by Pilgrims this year while in Isreal on Holy Pilgrimage. He disclosed this recently in Jerusalem while interacting with the officials of the Israeli Agriculture ministry in Israel.
He stated that his visit to the Ministry with his Team which comprised the Federal Commissioners and Chairmen and Secretaries of the States Christian Pilgrim Welfare Boards was to workout the modalities for the incorporation of this new innovation into this year’s pilgrimage programme so that the intending pilgrims would be easily accepted.
          He explained that the idea is to tap on the rich Agricultural Endowments of Israel with a view to replicating it back home. He added that this would help in the diverfication of our economy.
The Director Foreign Relations Department of the Ministry, Dr. Arie Reger assured that he would render every possible assistance to the pilgrims to ensure the success of the programme.
