No room for laxity in our second term - Mimiko





Ondo State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, on Monday, assured the people of the State that he will not give room to laxity during his second term in office. He said his second term will bring more dividends of

Mimiko gave the assurance contrary to the general belief that elected public officers are less productive when re-elected.

He stated this in his office in Akure during a congratulatory visit to him by traditional rulers in the state under the aegis of the Ondo State Council of Obas, led by their Chairman and Deji of Akure, Oba Adebiyi Adesida, on his victory at the Supreme court which affirmed his re-election.

e and the local government system with a view to sanitizing the service in the best interest of the State.

He further stated that his administration accords much respect to  traditional institution and priority to the  welfare of traditional rulers.

The Governor, who also assured of his administration's commitment to the overall development of the state in all sectors of its economy, thanked the royal fathers for the visit and for their support at all
times.

Speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers, the Olubaka of Oka-Akoko,  Oba Adebori Adeleye, congratulated the governor on his victory at the Supreme Court and also charged him to ensure that  the
verdict spur him to do more for the State.

Adeleye also congratulated the people of the State on the victory, which he described as well deserved and in accordance with the wishes of God and the people
