The Oodua Progressive Union ,Netherlands has bestowed an award of Best Tourism Promoter award on the Editor , Tribune Tourism Magazine , Wale Ojo - Lanre " for his consistent highlighting of the hidden tourism assets of Nigeria in general in the past 16 years. "
The award was bestowed on the Tribune Tourism Editor by the Oodua Progressive Union , Netherlands at Regardz Event Centre , South , Amsterdam , during the inauguration of African Heritage Cultural Centre and Fund raising ceremony which commanded the presence of Otunba Gani Adams , OPC and OPU National Coordinator , HER Excellency , Niniola Nimota Akanbi , Nigerian Ambassador to Netherlands , Oba Yisa Olanipekun , the Zaki of Arigidi Akoko , Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola , the Governor of the State of Osun , who was represented by Mr Bola Ilori , SSA on Environment and the representative of the governor of Ekiti State , Dr Kayode Fayemi .
