EKITI PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO CONDUCT RESUMPTION TEST FOR STUDENTS.
The Chairman of the Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission, 7 Bayo Adeniran has directed public Secondary Schools in the State to conduct resumption tests for their returning students on the first day of every term in order to refresh their memories.
Speaking while monitoring activities in some schools at Ikere Ekiti, Prince Adeniran said that scores of the tests should be recorded as of the continuous assessment for respective terms.
According to him, the tests would encourage students to cultivate reading habit during holidays. The TSC boss recalled that he organized resumption test at the Africa Church Comprehensive High School Ikere Ekiti when he was Principal of
the School and found it effective.
Prince Adeniran also charged teachers to fill their subject diaries
and write their lesson notes at least a week before resumption to boost efficiency and ensure effective teaching from the first week of resumption.
He commended the principal of St Louis Grammar School, Ikere for the on-going construction of a 3,000 capacity ultra-modern hall in the school. Schools visited include, Eleyo High School, Irepodun High School and
St. Louis Grammar School at Ikere Ekiti.
