Honestly and without bias , things are looking up in Ekiti .I was surprised that I can drive down from Usi - Ekiti to Akure on a well paved road . I am telling you that except some portion between Ido - market to Ogaganmodu High School which is being tended , I drove without bumping into any crater ,well or potholes from Usi to Igbara Oke, Ondo state then Akure.! Wonderful !
This is just because a Governor has been able to shelve politics for development as a portion of this particular road was under construction before the court terminated HE Segun Oni's tenure abruptly .
Unlike others who would have abandoned the road , I saw that not only was that completed now but greatly improved upon in terms of reconstruction of the whole stretch from Ido - Igbole - Osi _ Awo - Iropora and Igede where you link - Ilawe and then Igbara- Odo - Igbara oke without bumping endlessly into potholes
Hitherto , I could not have dared to make a return journey to Usi when the road was a hell . but immediately I completed my assignment in Akure , I was encouraged to go back to Usi which took me less than 45 minutes ( Usi - Igbara- Oke junction ) . This is what i experienced . — with Remi Oladoye and 45 others.
