The Osun State government has announced the nomination of
former Chief of General Staff during the military regime and an elder
statesman, General Alani Akinrinade to represent the state at the forthcoming
national conference.
Others nominated are; former speaker of the state House of
Assembly, Professor Mojeed Alabi, former permanent secretary in the Ministry of
Defence, Mr. Femi Akande, former commissioner for justice, Chief Gbadegesin
Adedeji, Director General of Development Agenda for Western Nigerian
Commission, Mr. Dipo Famakinwa and Mrs. Bola Ogunrinade.
A statement issued by the deputy governor, Mrs. Grace
Titilayo Laoye-Tomori, said people of the state are happy with the nomination.
