Alli, Odu'a Investment boss donates to orphanage homes, others

The chairman, Odu'a Investment Company Limited, Chief Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli has donated food items to some Muslim communities, motherless and orphanage homes across Oyo state and some neighbouring states in the South West geo-political zone of the country.

In one of the orphanage communities visited by Alli, it was celebration galore as an assistant Matron of Oluyole Chesire home, Mrs. Victoria Yinusa who could not hide her feelings said, "what a merciful God? We are just hoping and looking unto Him on how to feed these children from Sunday because the little money we received recently have been expended on food items which we bought for them and it won't last us for another 24hours (Saturday)!"

Mrs Yinusa who received Odu'a boss on behalf of the head of the home added, "this gesture is timely and we are indeed grateful to you sir because it came at a time we needed them most because we are about to exhaust the remaining food items we bought recently with no hope yet of where the help will come from."

Sharafadeen Alli had, with a truck load of items, comprising infant baby foods, drugs, milk, bournvita, sugar, noodles, bags of rice among other foods, stormed four homes in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital to extend hands of fellowship to the less privileged and those physically challenged in the city.

The places visited by Alli were Federation of Muslim Women Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN ORPHANAGE), Basorun, Ibadan Home for Motherless babies, Yemetu, Oluyole Chesire Home and School for the deaf, Ijokodo, Ibadan.

The matrons and representatives of heads of the homes like Alhaja Bushra Bisi Oloso, Mrs Victoria Yinusa, Oriwoh Samuel among others commended Alli's gesture, just as they prayed God to meet the donor at the point of his needs and replenish his pocket.

Alli said the gesture was part of the little ways he could show appreciation to God for making him to be alive to witness this year's Ramadhan because "if I must count His blessings over me, my home, family members, political associates and supporters across the land, I must not do otherwise but to continue to thank Him".

He said more importantly is the God's abiding love, mercy and protection over him to continue to scale through many life threatening challenges he daily face as a politician but which God has always been made powerless in his entire life.

To him, since only the living can eulogise and appreciate all these, he wouldn't do otherwise just as he quoted from Quran by saying that—"They will ask thee what they are to expend in alms: say, "Whatsoever good ye expend it should be for parents and kinsmen, and the orphan and the poor, and the son of the road; and whatsoever good ye do, verily, of it God knows!"

He added "...—The likeness of those who expend their wealth in God's way is as the likeness of a grain that grows to seven ears, in every ear a hundred grains; for God will double unto whom he pleases; for God both embraces and knows."

Alli said other orphanage homes and motherless centres outside Ibadan and beyond Oyo state would also benefit as soon as the next consignment of such items are ready, stressing that, "he who wears the shoe knows where it pinch", just as he appealed to other well to do people in the society to come to the aids of the have-nots.
