Over 240 Illegal immigrants deported From Plateau State

Plateau State government has said that over 240 aliens were recently deported from the state.
The state Commissioner for Information and Communication, Pastor Yiljab Abraham, stated this while addressing journalists in Jos, the Plateau State capital on Saturday.

According to him, most of those deported could be a threat to the current relative peace being enjoyed in the state and have no valid papers.

He advised the people of the state to be vigilant and report any suspicious persons to security operatives.
It could be recalled that the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Special Task Force (STF) recently conducted a house-to-house search in some selected communities in Jos North local government area and Bukuru where some aliens were arrested.

Yiljab further said the incident in Bicishi, Foron District in Barkin-Ladi local government area last Thursday where five persons were killed and four others were injured was not an attack or outbreak of violence as erroneously reported, but an armed robbery incident.
