Time to check ASUU

ASUU is going too far !
Wale Ojo Lanre

Nigerians should rise against ASUU. This hitherto noble Union has been hijacked by buccaneers . The Union has become insensitive to the plight of the students, the parents and the nation. It is now selfish , self centred and grossly rotten. The Union has allowed excessive pecuniary demands to becloud its sense of responsibility to the nation.
It does not matter to ASUU if it goes on strike for years . Yes. Just because the government will have to pay its members for work not done without any care for the time wasted by the students and its backlash effects on the parents and the nation.
I don't blame ASUU . I rather blame the students who cannot fathom the fact that ASUU is using them as money making machine . I blame the parent for always queuing behind ASUU whenever it feels to ask for more money even if it is unjustifiable .
I felt sorry for some of the students on TV yesterday . They could not realized that ASUU was using them to feather its nest and ruin their lives.
I am not saying ASUU should not claim its rights or clamour for more incentives but this should be done within reasonable consideration for the students , parents and the nation.
I don't blame ASUU, most of the members have their wards scattered in the best and private Universities , hence those of us whose sons and daughters are under their care can spend 7 years for a three years course..

ASUU's is going too far .
It is better for the union to re -assess its strategy before .........
