The effort of Nigerian government at securing a spate of clemency for some of its citizens caught by the drug law of death in Indonesia has reached a brick wall as the Indonesian authority has declared that there is no clemency for them .
A top official of Indonesia ministry of Foreign Affairs , Jakarta made this revelation in a telephone conversation with Alarinka-Agbaye .
According to the source from Jakarta "The Indonesian Government understand the predicament of the Federal government of Nigeria at protecting the lives of its citizens . But here in Indonesia too we are passionate about protecting the lives of our citizen and preventing them from drug abuse . The Nigerians and citizens of other countries too who flouted our laws on drug must pay the penalty "
The source revealed that "They must pay with their lives . We have zero tolerance to drug related offence . That is why we make it loud and clear whenever we wanted to issue visa the penalty of being caught by our drug law ."
According to the source " Our drug law is sacrosanct . The penalty is unchangeable and there is no sentimentality in it .Even Indonesians caught on the wrong side of the law will be killed .
