Ajimobi’s administration is a blessing to Oyo - Group

A socio-cultural organization, Oyo Patriotic Front (OPF), has congratulated the Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi on the occasion of his second anniversary in office, describing his tenure as a big blessing to the people of the state.
The organization, in a statement issued in Ibadan on Sunday by its Chairman, Chief Jare Adepoju, said Ajimobi’s tenure was a testimony to the fact that with good vision, focus, commitment and dedication, a turnaround could be brought to a system.
``Without mincing words, Governor Ajimobi’s administration has been a blessing to the people of Oyo State. His emergence could be described as a divine intervention as the state had virtually been ran aground by the past administration due to its ineptitude, resulting in breakdown of law and order.
``Governor Ajimobi had not only brought peace and security to Oyo State, he had also used this as the base for other developmental programmes of his administration, all of which have turned the otherwise prostrate state around and brought it back to the path of socio-economic growth,’’ the organization said.
It particularly commended the massive infrastructural development of the Ajimobi administration as well as its urban renewal programme and beautification of the environment which had resulted in the influx of both local and foreign investors into the state.
``Never in the history of Oyo State has there been such a monumental achievements by any administration within a spate of two years. It is unprecedented. We want to give kudos to Governor Ajimobi who has exhibited a high level of administrative dexterity in the running of affairs of the state.
``He has also repositioned Oyo State as a state of intellectuals as against the image of a centre of violence, thuggery and brigandage which the past administration had given to the state,’’ the organization said.
It urged the governor not to allow himself to be distracted by the antics of the opposition and those who had proved themselves as enemies of the state and its people but rather to continue to build on his achievements for greater performance.
