Why Ladoja is yet to return to PDP
Fact have emerged on why the
leader of the Accord Party Senator Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja is yet to
conclude whether to return to his former
party, Peopleds Democratic Party. PDP or not.
It would be recalled
that Sen Ladoja became a bride to all political parties after
the 2011 election due to the role
he played on helping Senator Abiola Ajimobi
of the Action Congress of Nigeria to win
defeat his former deputy and the incumbent governor
Otunba Alao Akala.
Immediately after the
election the his former Party People’s democratic party PDP has since been
trying to woo him back into the party but he refuses to yield to their calls
due to their inability to assent to his
demands
A source at the
National Secretariat of the PDP informs that the Accord leader who is
contemplating returning to PDP is allegedly demanding for 50 percent of the party
executive and some key positions in case the party win the election in 2015. Adding that the National Executive of the
party may not guarantee him his request
but he will be given his due recondition as the leader of the party
Meanwhile some of the
PDP factional leaders in the state including former governor of the
state Otunba Alao Akala, serving Minister of State for FCT, Oloye Jumoke
Akinjide, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja,
and host of others are mounting pressure on senator Ladoja to return to PDP.
Meanwhile Political analyst in the state are of the opinion that Ladoja's return to PDP may dwindle the chances of the incumbent governor Sen Abiola Ajimobi or his part ACN to remain in government beyond 2015.
