Is Gov aregbesola going mad again?
I don't know .
The fact is that going by Governor Aregbesola's stride at developing the tourism potentialities in Osun state one would think that the fiery looking Governor is a good man who does thing according to normal process .
But that thought is being thinned out by some of what you can call out of sense acts and behaviour . Thank God , His Excellency has reduced his verbal misconstructions in recent times .
However , his recent ban on teaching of Christian Religious Studies in School in Osun - State could make one to support Barrister kayode Ajulo's court action seeking to know the state of mental health of this tourism friendly Governor .
My reason is this ,as a devout catholic , I had a romance with the ifa corpus, learnt by heart all the 16 odus and in love with Eji ogbe and in which I was able to know about Ela Iwori omo agboniregun and which knowledge I used to enlighten some group of eminent nigerians at a function which was summoned by HE Segun Oni when he was still the Governor of Ekiti .The eminent nigerians were impressed to know that there is some correlation in acts and conduct of Ela Iwori in Ifa Corpous as a reflection of what Jesus Christ did in the Bible .
I went to Ansar- Ud - Deen Grammar School , Ikare Akoko and I fell in love with the Islamic religion as preached by Prophet Mohammed ( PBOH) and espoused to us by late Alhaji Hassan Ogunlayi , who rose to be the Chief - Imam, Ikole - Ekiti who was the son of late Alhaji Ogunlayi , the Great , the first Ansarudeen Missioner in Ondo - State then .
AUD Ikare ,then was an epitome of religious harmony . We used to listen to preaching from Alhaji Ogunlayi every morning where I learn't for the first time the versatility of Prophet Mohammed ( PBOH) who said " Seek ye knowledge as far - East" which Alhaji Ogunlayi referred to as China.
And other days too , we had Christians sermons being preached to us without a hoot .
We had as our subjects then among others , CRS and Arabic studies .
As a catholic , I took little recognition of CRS after all, my father who was not only a server on the altar ensured that we were grilled in Catholicism and the Bible .
So I took interest in the Arabic with agrarian support from Bola Akeeb Ogunlayi .
I will never forget my knowledge of " tabatiada" which Prophet Mohammed (PBOH) employed in defeating the intransigent idol worshipers when he was being persecuted and ran into that cave or how my practicing of Tayamum in the desert of Yusufari in Yobe state helped my tour group to win the favour of the late Emir of Gashua who was so surprised that a professed catholic can perform Tayamum and pray to Allah or can I wished away how Salamalekun which some of you think it is just a saying have endeared me to a lot of my muslim brothers ?
Can you imagine what I would have lost if a power drunken man had been Governor in Ondo - state then had banned the teaching of Arabic studies in Secondary schools ?
Can you imagine ?
Rather than the ban on a particular study , let the tourism friendly Governor ensure that the three main religions is taught in all schools or at best include it in the Curriculum.
This will make a smart student a complete man for as at now , I am home with any Nigerian or anybody who profess any of these religion.

I wish Gov Aregbesola could understand .
