GTB Ibadan closed down for stealing Customers fund
A branch of Guaranty Trust Bank , located at the popular Femi Johnson area,Adeola Odutola Road in Ibadan Oyo - State , Nigeria has been shut down by a Court officials for refusing to obey court order over an alleged stealing a customer fund to the tune of #15 million naira .
The customers who claimed to have been duped by the bank since 2003 approached by court to challenge his right and was vindicated since January but the bank refuse to take action
One of the lawyers from Bode Elemide chambers who represented the company at the banking hall in a chart with Alarinka said" one of our client was maltreated by the bank and we approached the court and we won the case against the bank after we wrote the bank but they refuse to act according to the court order"
As at the press time banking activities were disrupted while security men were also at a standby to forestall any breakdown of law and order
Alarinka in a chat with one of the court officials who claimed to be anonymity was informed that the refusal of the officials to comply forced them into action as they have given them enough time to act
Meanwhile some of the bank staff rose against the action and tried to stop the court officials from performing their duty.
