IG Confirms Mba As Force PRO

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar, has confirmed the appointment of force spokesman, Chief Superintendent of Police Frank Mba, as the Force Public Relations Officer, FPRO.
Prior to the confirmation which was made known yesterday to Alarinka , Mba was the Deputy Force 

  Public Relations Officer, DFPRO acting for the FPRO. He assumed the position of force deputy spokesman in Jan. 2012, shortly after the appointment of Abubakar as IGP.

CSP Mba who hails from Ezimo in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State, enlisted into the police in May, 1992 as a cadet Inspector and was promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP in 1999, following a successful completion an assignment as part of a United Nations peace keeping  mission in Liberia Mba was promoted to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in 2003, and Superintendent of Police (SP) in 2006. He also rose to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) in 2012.

Between 2007 and 2011, Mba was the Police Public Relations Officer for Lagos Command. He studied law at the University of Lagos, Akoka, between 1995 and 2000 where he graduated with an LLB Degree (Second Class Upper Division).

When LEADERSHIP contacted Mba to confirm the appointment, he was full of joy but pointed out that it was a challenge to work harder for the force and the country.
